The Ziehl-Neelsen carbol-fuchsin solution is used in the Ziehl-Neelsen hot staining for the microscopic investigation of mycobacteria. Mycobacteria are stained magenta red. The staining solution will be combined with hydrochloric acid in ethanol for decolorization and Löffler’s methylene blue solution for counter staining. Those three solutions are each 500 ml contained in Tb-color modified staining kit. It is an IVD product and CE registered.
